If you’re tired of maintaining software and/or just enhancing what someone else has built, this role as Lead Software Engineer will allow you to use your creativity and technical expertise to lead/managed a gifted team of engineers in enterprise level “blue-sky” custom development .

Lead Python Engineer will be using Python (3.7) for Enterprise level applications to build middle-tier API layer utilizing FLASK framework and will:

Work directly with business stakeholders to envision solutions for multiple products

Define the high-level architecture, detailed technical design, and development standards

Work with project management to estimate and plan the development activities

Lead and mentor multiple development teams (5 – 20 engineers - on shore and off shore)

Conduct code reviews and ensure quality standards are being met

Actively participate in development

Requirements

Strong interpersonal and articulation skills, spoken and written.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; innovative and solutions oriented.

10+ years Enterprise software development experience using Agile methodologies.

5+ years hands-on experience and expert-level proficiency with Python and Python-based application frameworks.

5+ years participating in brainstorming sessions and working directly with business stakeholders and analysts to envision and define solutions.

5+ years creating estimates of effort based on requirements.

3+ years leading and mentoring development teams.

Must have valid US work authorization and willing to work on-site in Huntington Beach, CA with some flexibility to occasionally work remotely.
